Connect Standard VHS VCR to a Color Switcher Video Observation System Monitor Using our Cables (KO-780)

To connect a standard VHS VCR to a color monitor using our cables (KO-780), match up the labels on the colored RCA plugs to the corresponding jacks on both the Exxis monitor and on the VCR. Look closely - the colored plugs are stamped video out, video in, audio out, and audio in.

Your VCR's input must be set to "line" or "aux" or "video" depending on the make of the VCR. This is usually done by pressing the "input" or "TV/Video" button on the remote control or by entering "00" as the channel.

Tip: After completing all the hook-ups, press the "VCR" button on the monitor so the VCR indicator light comes on. If the VCR's input is not properly set, the camera picture will disappear. The camera picture will come back when the proper VCR input is selected. The camera's image must be visible on the monitor with the VCR indicator lit for the VCR to be able to record the camera's picture.
